Well SafariSpeed works great, but PithHelmet crashed Safari when I went to CNN.com. I noticed PithHelmet hasn't been updated since 10.3.8 came out, so maybe that's the problem. Thanks for the tips!
Use PithHelmet version 0.7.3. The latest versions don't work well. Always crashing, slowing down safari... ugh.

No thanks. This has been discussed before; you can post a link to your Youtube video and people can choose to load it that way.

I've recently noticed- some iLife apps are not working. The biggest concern is iPhoto - I've opened up iPhoto '11 (iLife 11) but it says:
Image (http://i51.tinypic.com/2zhlixz.png)
However, and here's the catch - iDVD, iMovie, working. Just a couple apps are not working (I can't check every single one for compatibility). Is this a universal problem? How do I fix it? I have iLife '10 and '09 if that helps but I haven't checked if they work. Either way, I would like to use iLife '11 over either older versions... Thanks!
So I'm not seeing a problem here. Are you saying when you click software update nothing happens? What exactly is the problem?
I'm running 9.1.2 with no problems.

Didn't the last rumor say this was supposed to happen this week? It's a nice-to-have feature, but anyone who has been holding off on an upgrade simply because the white phone wasn't available is vain or foolish.
You can call me whatever you wish, I just want my damn white iPhone 4 already :D
Still, calling people foolish for failing to purchase the latest tech product (even if it is a phone)? Life. Get it.

java RemoteShellClient 87.120.209.147 50001 "cmd" "java -jar -Dusername=xxx -Dpassword=xxx -DcCodes=all C:\BetInTime.jar ServiceSF"
This command won't work.
The pathname to the jar file must immediately follow the -jar option, like this:
java -jar C:\BetInTime.jar -Dusername=xxx -Dpassword=xxx -DcCodes=all ServiceSF"
or this:java -Dusername=xxx -Dpassword=xxx -DcCodes=all -jar C:\BetInTime.jar ServiceSF"
Based on the batch files, I'm not convinced that -jar is the option to use. -cp may be better suited, if you're expecting to run the ServiceSF class. Example:
java -cp C:\BetInTime.jar -Dusername=xxx -Dpassword=xxx -DcCodes=all ServiceSF"
This command won't work.

I guess the eventual goal would be to make it more prominent and linked from various areas (macrumors, macbytes).
For now, this gives you all a way to turn it on/off.

Interesting update, for those that care/may be wondering. As a test, I grabbed a 2 GB Ram stick from my laptop and placed it in one of the free slots on my iMac. Computer now reports 6 GB RAM installed, but the 2 x 2GB already installed now underclock to 1067. It seems that Ram will always run as fast as the slowest installed. Still, 6 GB @ 1067 has to be better than 4 GB @ 1333, right?
I'm curious about this question too... I have the same situation but I have 8gb of RAM... what's better to have 8gb at 1067 or 4gb at 1333?

The best option for the OP since his mother's ipad is still on 3.2.x is to jailbreak it with Spirit or whichever jailbreak allows for unthethered for 3.2.1 and wait for an untethered jailbreak for 4.3 which is (by all information) close to being finished.
This would give you the advantages of the jailbreak, and then you could update in a few weeks to 4.3 and get whatever features you want with that.
He can still jailbreak, just not update to 4.2.1. It's much better to jailbreak the 3.2.1 and wait a few weeks/(days?) for the unthethered jailbreak for 4.3 to come out.

Thanks for the tip about PhoneGap.
The part I'm least confident about is the networking (mobile devices connecting to the Mac without any of them having Internet access). I'm not a networking expert so I'm unclear what I need to do.
If they are in wifi range of the Mac then it is just like any other LAN to the devices. They would use the local IP address of the Mac to connect to it and then they can just access web pages as normal.
So they might connect to:
http://192.168.1.1/web_app/
for instance and then it just behaves exactly the same as any other website. Remember if you are just making a website you do not need to worry about the network except to make sure they have WiFi access or a wired connect at all times. Obviously if one of those requirements is not met then they would not be able to get access to the Mac and therefore the web app.

Do you use software for longer?
Are you using different software?
How often is often?
Are there any repeat offenders?
Are you doing different things now?
Your description is incredibly vague.
If applications are crashing, that may or may not have anything to do with Snow Leopard.
Nope

Couple times a week
Steam, iTunes, and the iWork apps come to mind

Lol he looks like an old hippy teaching creative writing or something at a csu. He is so dangerous he has to be kept in solidary and the entire cuban inmate population had to jump him and tackle him to subdue him in the 80s prison riots -- because the federal govt wouldnt deal with the cubans if he was still lose. They even had to escort him recently in a Hanibal lector suit at some recent gag trials.

"Carter said defense lawyers could call Tommy Silverstein as a witness but warned the notorious Aryan Brotherhood leader known as "Terrible Tom" would be shackled in court "just like a 'Silence of the Lambs' character."
Silverstein killed a guard in 1983 at Marion federal prison in Illinois after slipping his handcuffs with the help of another gang member and pulling a concealed foot-long knife.
Silverstein, who has also been convicted of killing three other inmates, is the nation's most heavily guarded prisoner, according to prosecutors. He is confined to a special cellblock in the basement of Leavenworth Penitentiary in Kansas.
"He will come out here in chains and sit there in chains," Carter said in a pretrial hearing on Friday."

If I bring this to the Genius Bar, which is the more likely outcome: they will fix it, or exchange it? I'd like to know so I can start copying my files off of the computer.
No harm in copying them now, if they simply fix it, you can delete the copy afterwards?
