Yeah- this looks to be a bummer for us folks with iOS devices. Apple will have to devote a bunch of resources just to bring their own maps implementation to be as good as google's, the better version on android not withstanding. As someone else pointed out, apple will still need to get maps from somewhere, no matter how good their implementation.

I am trying to create a basic "lyrics video" similar to the one in the link below. I am able to get the text to super impose over the pic but I can't figure out how to make it so that 3-4 lines of text show. Instead. only one long line of text shows up. Would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction.

The idea of paying $50 more makes some have a hissy fit while MOST are right to complain about it in a normal, reasonable way.
AT&T is obviously more than legally able to do this but it is obvious to anyone that they are doing it strictly to add more $ to their pockets. And the response to that will be that they are allowed to and that EVERYONE wants more money. Yes, and consumers are allowed to complain when companies do something STRICTLY to make them pay more.
There is really no reason for AT&T to do this other than to make consumers pay more. When AT&T does this, they should expect a backlash

Who doesn't even let you get any discount for any early upgrades so in that respect they are worse than AT&T. Wow, Batman Arkham Asylum was the first game I brought for my 360 and is definitely in my top. 5 most favorite games (Can't wait for the second one!). Any chance you could post the original please? :p

Overnight my sirius app stops working once the screen fades out or I hit the button on the bottom or top of the ipad.

Just checked my app and it seems to be working fine. I'd close out the app and try again. Or, hard reset and try. Good luck! I LOVE my Sirius!

If Adobe priced this for $29.99 on the App Store I would buy it as a companion tool to PS CS5. But I don't think I would be using my fingers to work... I would incorporate a POGO Stylus.
What would be cool is if you could tap your left index finger and then the POGO to enable a "right click" for options.
I would be even more interested in an Illustrator for the iPad!
What I still want though is to be able to shoot tethered to an iPad. Has anyone heard of an app that will allow me to instantly see what I just shot with a tethered DSLR?

Today i was doing some changes in iTunes and suddenly the column or section on the right side where all my albums appear was completly gone. The library column still there and the middle one with all the artist is still there too but i want my right column back. Any ideas how to reset without affecting all my personal selections of songs?

I wonder if the Shuffle will ever have more than 2 gigabytes. It's form factor seems to limit it, not because there'll never 2 gigabyte storage that small (there will), but because you can't select songs. I wonder how useful a 10 gig Shuffle would be. (Maybe it would be useful...
I bet the next revision of the shuffle will be 2GB - and will remain the same form factor (if this proves popular). There currently are FLASH chips in 2GB capacity that would fit right into the new shuffle. The catch is the price... Market value on smaller 2GB chips is about 5X the price of 1GB chips right now. In other words, Apple could release a 2GB version of the G2 Shuffle, it would just cost about another $100 and there probably isn't sufficeint production yield of 2GB chips yet. But in it's new/current form, the small size and ~240 song capacity for about $80 makes it a real winner.

I saw this news on TechCrunch yesterday, and it just confirms the obvious.
It is always so ridiculous how people try to manipulate the numbers to always give android a lead, which NEVER makes any sense. As nobody benefits from the combined platform of Android except google and even then it is questionable how much real benefit it is to them.
The individual makers get no benefit from 20 other companies also making android devices, in fact it hurts them.
The extensive installed IOS userbase is important, as is the ability to seemlessly have an IOS that extends multiple devices. Android will never do that in any competitive way due to fragmentation. Apple has a massive advantage there. A single company with multiple products tied into a single ecosystem. Android fails streets behind there.
Apple has the best selling smartphone, the best selling tablet, the best selling mp3 player/game device. They individually dominate in every segment, and combined dominate in OS overall for mobile/portable devices.
