Cali Swag District, the group famous for the most popular rap song last year "Teach Me How To Dougie" has experienced the tragic loss of member "M-Bone" real name, Montae Talbert, as he was brutally killed whilst sitting in a car in Inglewood, a suburb of Los Angeles, California.

The 22-year-old rose to fame last year, due to the aforementioned song and dance craze inspired by rapper and Scientologist, Doug E. Fresh. Cali Swag District’s debut single went platinum and their album is slated for release this year.

However, tragedy struck when two men drove up to Talbert's car he was seated in and shot him twice in the head. He succumb to his injuries at the hospital. 22 is a very young age to die and in what is senseless violence.

This marks the third industry member shot dead, execution style, in or right outside their vehicle, in the Los Angeles area. Previously, famous publicist Ronni Chasen was killed, via five bullets to the chest, while driving in Los Angeles and MTV producer, Gabriel Ben-Meir, was shot in the head and died, right after exiting his vehicle in the same city.

Last month, it was rapper Gucci Mane, violently pushing a woman out of a vehicle, after a previous incident where he publicly punched his girlfriend in the face. This month, it is rapper Joe Budden, who beat his video model girlfriend, Esther Baxter, so badly, she miscarried their child, after two months of pregnancy. The distraught model sent very graphic photos to a website to be published, wanting to tell the world what was done to her. She is going to need prayer after such a trauma.

Rap music has to change. The violence towards women before and behind the scenes must stop. Violence has nothing to do with music or equality. It is one of the worst byproducts of humankind. Artists have a responsibility to their audiences, to police themselves in the types of images they portray to the public. Those refusing to do so, do not need to be in the public eye or have a record deal.

Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight - the latter is mentioned in a redacted file, regarding the shooting death of an LAPD officer, who was having sex with his wife Sharitha

The FBI has released portions of its file on the late rapper and Black Panther, Tupac Shakur, who was gunned down in a 1996 drive-by shooting in Las Vegas. Shakur was the passenger of former Death Row Records muscle CEO, Suge Knight.

The heavily redacted FBI files reveal Shakur and the late rapper Easy E, were allegedly being threatened and faced extortion attempts by the Jewish Defense League. The FBI was unable to prove the claims.

Easy E came into contact with the Jewish Defense League, via his business partner at Ruthless Records, Terry Heller. He contacted them for assistance with Suge Knight, who stole his artist Dr. Dre by force, using fellow gang members armed with bats, pipes and chains.

For years, many have named Knight as the culprit behind Shakur's killing and that of his friend turned rival, the Notorious B.I.G. Knight was a passenger in the car on the night of Shakur's slaying, even claiming he was shot in the head and bullet fragments remain lodged in his skull, medical reports dispute that claim.

The Notorious B.I.G. (Christopher Wallace) and Badboy CEO Sean Combs (P. Diddy) faced constant threats from Suge Knight. Wallace was murdered shortly after in 1997 by a known associate of Knight.

Shakur was the only victim in the car, took several bullets to his head and body, while Knight walked away from the incident in perfect health. Knight owed Shakur $20,000,000 in royalty payments he kept refusing to pay and the rapper was getting ready to leave his label.

Knight had become rich in the entertainment industry, from strong-arm tactics and financial theft, even bragging on MTV News that Death Row Records had become a billion dollar company. Shortly after, the IRS moved in on him for tax evasion and the police arrested him in a separate indictment for probation violation. Knight also lost everything in a few short years, including his homes.

Mentally ill rapper, Gucci Mane, real name, Radric Davis, has been arrested in Atlanta, Georgia for not only violating his probation, but assaulting a defenseless woman as the offense. Mane saw the 36-year-old woman outside South Dekalb Mall in Georgia and asked her to accompany him to breakfast.

She agreed and entered his white Hummer, which was not a good idea. Mane then offered her $150 to cancel breakfast and go to a hotel with him to engage in sexual intercourse. When she refused and asked him to take her back to the mall, it is alleged he opened the door of the Hummer and pushed her several times, until she fell out of the moving vehicle.

Mane's conduct is very cruel and inappropriate. The victim could have died had she landed on the ground at an angle that placed her in line with the vehicle's tires. This abusiveness towards women needs to stop. Women also need to be careful, as just because you see someone on television does not mean they will not hurt you.

Update: Police in Haiti are dismissing Jean's claims he was shot in the hand. They are contending his injury is not consistent with a gunshot wound and that he was cut by glass, as confirmed by a local doctor at the hospital. Something broke the glass of Jean's vehicle and he stated they heard gunshots before the alleged incident transpired.

Rapper/singer, Wyclef Jean, who attempted to enter the presidential candidate field in Haiti's recent elections, but was ruled ineligible, due to failing to meet residency requirements, was shot in his homeland.

Jean and fellow recording artist, Busta Rhymes, were driving in Haiti, when gunshots rang out. When Jean exited his vehicle, he noticed blood on his hands and clothes. The entertainer discovered a bullet had pierced his hand. Jean was taken to the hospital, where he received treatment.

Previously, Jean was the recipient of death threats, warning him to withdraw from the election's preliminary round and to leave Haiti (Wyclef Jean In Hiding After Death Threats). His charity has also been the subject of bad publicity, due to financial impropriety.
