Dating Site To Members: All Ugly People Must Go!

A dating website called beautifulpeople.com has been sending out notices to people deemed too "ugly" to look at, informing them they have been dumped from the site for their uncanny ability to make mirrors crack. Website spokesman Greg Hodge told the press, "We have to stick to our founding principles of only accepting beautiful people. That's what our members have paid for. We can't just sweep 30,000 ugly people under the carpet."

Did you read that: "We can't just sweep 30,000 ugly people under the carpet." LOL. I'm not gonna pretend I didn't laugh at this story, but when you think about it, that was really mean to kick people off a website for such vain reasons. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

So, unless Gollum or Madonna registered on that site, they had no business sending out a, "You need plastic surgery because you are so homely you broke our website and drove down the hits" notices (I'm paraphrasing). What, did someone threaten them with a lawsuit for false advertising, because everyone on the site wasn't gorgeous. No one on this earth is perfect. Deal with it.

MTV, the network that has the worlds "Music Television" in its title, yet really doesn't play much of it any more, is launching the O Music Awards show. The ceremony will honor internet based artists and "digital music."

Teen stars, Justin Bieber and Rebecca Black are up for awards. Nutty 25-year-old singer, Lady Gaga has received nominations as well, being an artist that started her career on MySpace.com. Ironically, MySpace is sinking faster than Kirstie Alley on "Dancing With The Stars" this week. But back to the article.

Finally, Rebecca Black will get to meet Justin Bieber, who she has a crush on and he will dump Selena Gomez for her and they will run off into the sunset (Ok, you know that's what she's thinking, because she totally paid me to write that - joking).

While Black's song has reportedly irritated many, had the chorus been done differently, that would not have happened (it's the way the word "Friday" is sung). However, what I like about her is that she has inadvertently thumbed her nose at Hollywood and the status quo and achieved a hit single and fame without them.
