Welcome aboard Brandon. Hope you enjoy it here. I agree with Gary's comments. The flower benefited from a little sharpening.
Gary, I think I did something similar. I couldn't tell if you masked it or not. In PS, I first selected all the sky with the magic wand, then expanded that selection 3 pixels, then put a 3 pixel feather on it, then inverted the selection so all the greenery was selected with a soft edge. I then put an adjustment layer bumping up the saturation. Finally, I filled the above selection with black on the adjustment layer's mask so the bump only applied to the sky. From there, it's a matter of taste for how much saturation is desired.

why would someone having a GC want a H1 i don't understand. If her hubby is a GC holder obviously she might also be a GC holder. She has rights to work anywhere and for anyone in US.
If she is still in the process of gettin her GC then she might want to go in for H1 as it takes nearly 2 to 3 yrs for a spouse to get GC if she or he didn't apply during AOS

He's bought and paid for by racist anti-immigrant interest groups and no way he was going to be convinced based on merits of the argument!

we all need to fill the survey so that they can at least think about bumping up the priority.
PS: boy, there are lot of anti-immigrants than you'd think on this forum--people giving me RED:(
I'm assuming they'd fill out the survey the other way?
Thanks for the info! I just did and wrote the following..
"Immigration reform is badly needed to fix the broken immigration system. As a law abiding legal immigrant, I have been living in US since 2000. I filed for my Green card (EB3, India) in 2003. I still haven't received my Green card. Realistically, I can expect only in 2017, a solid 14 years after my initial filing. In my profession, technology chances at a rapid pace and 14 years is like several decades. Also, the economy would have several boom and bust cycles during those 14 years. Recession itself is very bad but a legal employment based immigrant goes through a "recession with severe restrictions"....
One has to live through it to understand it...In all this, one thing that keeps me awake is my strong desire to provide a better life for my children and to realize my version of the American dream."

I have an Olympus C2100 Ultrazoom. The real focal length of the lens is given as 7mm to 70mm (38mm to 380mm on 35mm equiv). When I operate the zoom lever, a bar appears in the viewfinder with T at the top and W at the bottom. Can I assume that this scale will be linear in terms of the focal length ie if the number of steps between W and T is 30, would each step increase the focal length by 63/30 mm (=(70-7)/30)? This would, however, mean that my standard 50mm equivalent focal length would be only one step up from the W end of the scale, which does not ring true. In which case, is there an easy way to 'calibrate ' this scale?
Thank you.
Martin
First, I don't know, and the details probably differs from camera to camera. However, my guess is that the zooming action is not linear. More likely the "steps" are larger at the tele end as each millimeter of focal length counts for more at the wide end.
As to calibration... maybe set up a scale on a wall, look at it at 7mm and mark the edges. Zoom in until you see half the width (which corresponds to twice the focal length - 14mm) and look at the focusing indicator what's shown. Zoom in again to show 50% of the last view, 28mm... etc.
(I hope my math was OK here...)
Thank you.

Immigration Law from Houston Immigration Lawyer - Annie Banerjee Has Just Posted the Following:
Computerworld is reporting that USCIS will conduct 25000 H-1B raids up from 5191 last year.
For more details on what the CIS is looking for in these raids please refer to two of my previous blogs.
Two of my clients were "raided" and another one had somebody visit the beneficiary's job site.
In all these cases the officer did not ask for any documents. They seemed satisfied that the job location site actually existed, and that the beneficiary actually worked there. Beneficiaries were not questioned extensively at all.
According to the Computerworld article the USCIS found "various problems including fraud" in nearly one in five H-1B applications last year.
Yes it is important to combat fraud. But much of the fraud is because the USCIS (as does the DOL) does not accept the reality of workplace situations. In the IT business the end user usually contracts with someone, who then contracts with someone else to get the employee. For instance, Computer consulting Company A has an individual ready to work. Computer Consulting Company A has a contract with Consulting Company B. Consulting Company B has an agreement with say Megacorp C to perform the work. So A contracts the employee to B who then place him at C. The CIS holds that Company A cannot petition for the beneficiary, since Company A will not control the beneficiary and hence is not the proper employer. Company B is.
Why should control of a professional matter? Do professionals with at least a Bachelor's Degree need control? Why cant the CIS look into the reality of workplace situations?
Instead the Government is using the $500 fraud fee that it collects from Employers filing for H-1b to hire workers who does not understand the complexities of the problem to act as policeman and visit sites.
Also in keeping with this fraud finding, the CIS gives out ridiculous "requests for evidence" (RFE) to small employers. They need everything under the kitchen sink. The Company's taxes, wage report, pictures, type of toilet tissue they use, coffee maker's name. I only wish I was kidding.
All this only discourages small businesses, the backbone of the US economy from filing H-1B petitions. Yet look at this year. From April 01 to November 13, only 55,600 applications have been filed. Is this not proof that the marketplace takes care of the filings, and that most employers do not file false petitions?
And lets face it, no small employer can afford just the government fees of $1570/- per H-1B candidate, not to mention attorney's fees unless they really want the foreign employee. So these employees are NOT taking US jobs, much as the democrats like to think. And true to the democratic principal, there are no more fraud investigations on family based immigration like "paper marriages", which are far more dangerous than simply not allowing H-1Bs who don't have contracts with end users not to file.

You must file AC21 letter before your old employer revokes I140. Otherwise, your I485 will be denied. Request your old employer to wait to revoke I140 until you have sent that letter.
Is this true??
I thought after 180 days, revocation of I140 by old employer will not affect the pending I485?

I will be applying for Employment Based green card (EB 1) as I am a multinational Manger . Would also like to include my spouse in the process. He is currently entering the US in July on F1 Visa to enroll into full time masters for 2 years My employer can file for a green card anytime
I would like to understand the following 1) Can my spouse continue in F1 status and be eligible for internship and OPT until the green card is received 2) Is there any consequences to his present status (F1) because we are going to process his green card? 3) Can he obtain EAD/H1 after his education if the green card is still pending
We don't want to get into a situation where he has lost his privilages as a F1 student because he has applied for green card. Please advice
Are you from infy/TCS/Wipro....in that case no problem.
and yeah...welcome to IV.

I am sure if Guest Woroker Programs and hence CIR is enacted...there will be a free for all...illegals scrambling to ge their Tax etc in place so that they wont be deported. Hopefully they are not allowed to file for PR so soon that there is a even bigger queue for I485...and even CIR ends up providing no relief to us.
