Looks like the EB2 dates for india have retrogressed by two years. I am applying for green card and would like to know if I shouls go with EB2 or EB3.

I dont think its as simple as choosing between EB2 or EB3. It would depend on your job description and which category the job qualifies for. Not all jobs would qualify for EB2. You should consult an immigration attorney to discuss your case.

However I got two sets of EAD and first set AP with second AP approved (latest from this morning). I am also travelling to India, technically I am in the US for both AP approvals. Done both finger printings. Not sure if this will cause a problem down the line.
My attorney said we should wait until we hear back from CIS asking to withdraw one of the application.

If EAD expires and you do not get a new EAD (which was applied in a timely manner) can you still work and get your pay Chq?

Our PD : Dec 22nd 2003, EB2 India. It was pre-adjudicated on Sept 18th 2008.
My petition was approved 4 months back, after calling 100 times USCIS.
In my wife's case we spoke with IO on Sept 4th.
Created Service Request on 5th Sept.
During September 2nd week spoke to IO, IO sent an email to IO who is looking at petition.
During September last week we got Service Request generic response "Wait 180 days" which I have seen 2 times in my case .
On Sept 29th sent 7001 form to Ombudsman. Ombudsman office might have received the application on or before 1st October.
October 2nd 2009 my wife's petition approved.
So if your case is genuine case problem. Don't waste your time calling Immigration officers. Send 7001 form to Ombudsman's office.

Hi,
I am Canadian citizen and planning to file AOS(ofcourse if there is some news from USCIS:)) currently, I am on TN visa which is of temporary intent unlike
H1B which is dual intent.
Planning to travel to Canada in Sept'07 while I am on TN and be back in Oct'07 on H1B which will be valid from Oct-01-2007 till Sept-2010. Will there be any problem if AOS is filed before I leave to Canada.
Also, my current TN Visa is valid till Sept-30 and my H1B will be effective on my travel back from Canada, if there is any gap between Sept-30 and the date I travel back will there be any problem due this gap once the AOS is filed?

if this Interpol thing is regarding 498a, there are cases where people have contacted people in Indian embassy and explained to them the situation and got their passports renewed as well.

Guys, I guess almost everybody is done with their finger printing by now.
I think there is a significant chunk of the crowd (mostly NSC-CSC-NSC and other transfer cases) who havent got FP notices yet...so if nothing else...feel glad that you are ahead of us in the GC game...LOL

My 140 was approved in 2007 ,but today i got email from USCIS ,
Application Type: I140, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER
Current Status: Case Transfered to Another Office for Processing
On May 12, 2009, we transferred this case I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER to our LINCOLN, NE location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow the instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 to update your address. You can use our processing dates to estimate when your case may be processed by following the link below. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case by registering in the link below.
Any idea, what would be the possible reason for this? Please advice.

I remember getting a similar email for H1B some 2-3 years back even though my H1 was approved and I already received the I797. No issues though, they just sent another I797. :)
I guess this can happen if their Database was restored to an older backup. So they had to go thru some of the processing again.

Anyway, now that I know that the name is Patton Boggs, doesn't anyone (out of curiosity) want to get their point of view? What does PB have to say about the fact that none of the provisions for legal immigrants went into the CIR? What's their take on the chances that favorable amendments for legal immigrants will make it?
Of course there are no guarantees in life. No one's going to say IV didn't try hard enough even if the CIR in the current form passes. Likewise, I am not saying PB hasn't done much or did not deliver. My questions do not reflect IV's choice to go with PB.
As I said, it just would be interesting to know ... ...

wandmaker is correct. Take infopass, tell them you may have to travel soon and get the stamp. I've done it...nothing wrong with that. By the way, since your I-485 is approved, your AP is no longer valid and you should not use it.
What is stated came from my lawyer and a friend of mine ran into trouble in India where immigration folks gave him hard time and did not believe the stamp when he was returning. At US entry point you will be OK with stamp however you need approval notice as local office will not stamp passport without you having the notice.

Did the office say that you are granted visa and the passport will be mailed. I know in Mumbai consulate, you can collect the stamped-passport the same evening.
NewDelhi consulate will have an email address, email them and check. otherwise if you are there in the city visit the consulate and enquire.

Mine is pending in CSC since April 2008. My husband's extension was applied in July, and it came through in September. But mine is delayed like crazy. Processing date last month was June 16 or something. We have filed SR on Oct 28, but there hasnt been any updates until now.

I think getting salary regulary but salary slip after three or more months is common scenario in industry (deleberate attempt by employers, so that H1B transfer can't be filed). I have faced this music, my kid facing it and I am sure many people facing this.
I was lucky to go about it, USCIS did not ask at the time of transfer. Need to get idea, how others have handled it. Does bank statement work in this case?
