It's here! On time, and as described in ad. This weekend it will get it's first workout... Reading up on new features. I am going to set a few test "banks" (pre-sets) based on last years experience at that facility. Hoping that only minor tweaks are necessary once there.

You cant file H1 on your own. You need ur employers signature on it and ur employer has to file the petition. Even if you beat all that it is still very very risky to file on your own.
I strongly discourage the word "Attorney" for everything. Just because of memebers like kriskris these Attroney's are living lavishly. What the heck these Attroneys know that we don't know. Don't we know how to write our names? Don't we know how to fill an application form? Please stop saying "Attroney" for everything. These are not complex things. Please note according to one survey 70% of Americans don't know how to fill Bank application. Attroneys are just making the money out of this situation.

Folks,
I'd like to know if any of you invited your parents while on AOS. Last time I invited my in-laws I had H1-B et al....now we are on AOS and my wife is sponsoring her parents. We are on AOS. I do not have a job currently so I can't get an EVL and my wife has and she is inviting and the I-134 is also from her...we have EADs valid till late 2010....she had her F1 valid till Oct 2009 but she is working on dependent EAD.
So do you think there could be any potential problem.....Last time I had sponsored my in-laws but they were questioned a lot at the embassy....so now my wife will be sponsoring ...I hope there are no potential problems.
Path 2 USA do not mention anything special for EADs/AOS et al....

Labor was filed in June 2006. The date on my degree certificate is later than that. The hope is that the person who reads the response to the RFE considers completion date instead of date of receiving the degree (official graduation date).

I have changed the job on EAD and used AP for returning back. To be on the safeside I have notified USCIS service center about my AC21 change and kept the copy of the package sent to USCIS.
On our return in EWR, we have been sent to secondary inspection. IO asked whom I am working? I said my new employer's name? He took our copies of AP and stamped I-94 as parolled.
On our return in two days our greencard was also approved without any RFEs.
Again it depends on I/O in the port of entry I guess.

Hi all ,
Me and my husband are planning india trip in jun or july this year for 2-3 weeks.We both need to get our visas stamped in New Delhi .
We are short on time and our native places are far .So to save time and keep the window for passport arrival if approved or any problems ,postal delays..I was thinking to get visa-interview-date the day we land to delhi.
So here is the probelm,travelling with heavy bags ,international baggage is unsafe and difficult.
What would be the travel tips ?
Our plan is-
1.To stay in some hotel in delhi the day we land( if we reach in evening) and go to stamping next day.
Where to stay? Should we go to consulate with all international luggageand directly travel for native or keep in hotel room, come back later for it ,is it safr options?
Traveeling is also difficult
2.Then for there on ,what transport ,bus,delux bus,train ,or flight to take to chandigarh.
what ever is easiest for us ?
For regular bus(i know is pretty fast,5-6 hrs) ,we have to go to ISBT and keep lugaage on top of bus...i dont know about seats...availability .
For deluxe, never travelled so need tips.
Or better to take train ,go to railway station.
I dont know if domestic flgihts allow that much of baggage option, do they allow international luggage ,something like through checkin.
Please throw in your valuable suggestions to make our trip easy and better usage of time.

My brother reached Chennai early morning 2 AM and had visa interview at 9 AM. He took the risk and flight arrived on time. This was Mid-Feb 2011.
I had his visa interview details, so just in case there is flight delay, I was going to inform VFS about travel delay and cancel his appointment. "No show" will get you like 90 days ban.
I would do the the following - book a hotel room near consulate, leave the bags in hotel, complete the interview, then rent a taxi and to final destination. this option will be convenient compared to bus and train.

Thanks for the response. I am very glad to know that H1 can be transferred to new company with existing perm application. If the transfer takes place, we will be aiming to apply for a new Perm from the new company asap or before 30-Sep-2010.
Can you please confirm applying for new Perm with new company before Sep 2010 will be enough to request extension beyond Sep 2011?

I also noticed the same. On 11/25, there was a new LUD on my case. But again on 11/27 I had new LUD and this time I received a email from USCIS that my card has been ordered. But my wife's status is as it is, her LUD is still 11/25.

Nothing to worry.....Thats what happened to one of my friends too...Primary applicant's status changed to card production ordered and no change on spouse's application...But a couple of days later both applications changed to welcome letter sent...So hang in there for a bit and congratulations...

Before my lawyer responded to the RFE, surprisingly, my I-140 was approved. I wish the same happens in your case, too.

One more additional question on this, say we open a trading account now and we buy shares in 2008 , but do not sell it yet (meaning no income was made in 2008), then will there be any impact or any additional filing to be made for 2008 tax returns, or how does stock trading relate to tax returns...

To the best of my knowledge you can not file for AOS while you are on TN . To process your green card you have to switch to your H1B from TN and start your green card as any other national i.e file for your Labor certification, I-140 and then i-485 .This process is same like any other national. All the best.

Same thing, my 485 is pending at TSC, and I used AC21 in Feb 08, saw few LUDS after that and since then no movement on 485, for 140 I haven't called USCIS, these days they are sending rfe's for no reason and hence I am keeping quiet, also for 140 there is nothing we could much, i spoke to my lawyer and he also said the same, only your old employer can talk to them, if we call uscis they won't tell you anything as we are not the employer, so keeping my fingers crossed and praying that its only a file cleanup, may be in Oct when dates are available they may send you , me and all others waiting desparately a GC, small ray of hope..god bless us all..if anything changes I'll keep you posted on my side..

You will not get another 6 months, if you go anywhere in North America.
You need to go Europe or Asia.
Extension is no longer allowed. It was allowed 2 years back.
Only way is to go out to India, or apply extension with USCIS.
So Let me get this clear in my head..
