The intent of the message is appropriate but the presentation isn't. I know core team is very frustrated with the lack to contribution and it's perfectly understandable but language like this will only turn more people off and that won't help anyone.
I agree with the post earlier that may be you should just delete your post for the good of the community and I am sure you know that.

Hi,
I have a EAD L2 Based valid till 2009. I havent worked in US till now after getting EAD. Now I have to travel to India for a Month. What will be the procedure to retain my EAD after I come back to US after 30 day.
Please Guide Me

you dont have to do anything. Based on your L2 petition you will get an I-94
valid till 2009. Since your EAD is unexpired, you can continue working once you come back. EAD is authorization to work, completely unrelated to your travel to India and back. What exactly are you worried about?

seem kind of depressing . It looks like there are a lot more people from mid 2004 and before than from 2005 onwards.
is the sample size too small ( 939 people only ) or does it really signify that even the end 2004 people are in for a long long wait !!:rolleyes:

Can you point me to the source of the above? The reason why I ask this is because my priority date falls between March 01 and 07....So near, yet so far!

The cut-off date is the priority date of the first documentarily qualified applicant who could not be accommodated for a visa number.

Well PDs have to move forward. Else USCIS will have to approve EADs and APs for 2 years thus reducing their revenue. Cant see how USCIS will manage its budget given that they are funded by immigrants unless they want to move their personnel to ICE to deport people.
But once most of the immigrants are deported, I wonder what will these guy do :-d

again no one can explain the ridiculous date movements by DOS...so there can be no reason for this..Its just that someone saw numbers being wasted...and they randomly applied them to EB2...Now as for getting approvals for all those that are current now...forget it ...since that is USCIS and that is a whole different Animal (a lazy one!!)
It's true..even PD,processing times current scenario also..AOS approval rate was very slow...as it happenend for me 2 months May,June being current EB3-I nothing happened..:(

chandu,its not same all the time as i believe in the candidate potential then the experience..i have seen so many case in my past 5 yrs of experience that a Guy who has 8yrs of experience failed to impress the hiring manager and technical lead in an personal interview where as a fresh graduate from well know university cracked the same interview a got the project� IT is the place where we all have to learn new thing every day...experience only matters how the a person approaching to get the things done...it all depends on how each individual is capable of job get done..this is what i belive in...no offence to any one.
I think it is more than that. A guy with lots of experience unless he is looking for a job that suits his experience will not get a job for which he will be over qualified.
An experience guy might find it difficult to answer questions like �what is operator precedence?� at first, cause he has moved from there to advanced levels, but a guy straight out of college can perform better in the interview and get the job.
Also remember for just a techie job, a middle aged (or older) guy will be a liability on the company as that can change the dynamics of medical insurances and other benefits for himself and his family. The company would rather take in a less experienced person and spend less, the company will not tell that for legal reasons but that is an unwritten rule that they will follow.

was visiting India after 5 years..the visa on my passport expired in 2003.. no transit visa.. had the new Visa document with me though.. missed the connecting KLM flight in Amsterdam & the next available flight was the following day.. the Airline staff went through my Visa document & gave me a 24-hr transit Visa & did put me up @ a hotel outside the Airport.. 'twas a blessing in disguise as I could tick AMS off my 'to visit' list..

We are trying to achieve our objective for our Freedom by Getting Greencards. Many of us experience that, we are not totally free to change the job evenif there is AC21 provision. We also do not have same privileges as US Permanent Resident. Ask the people, many of them have been turned down the Loans. Quoting my own example, my son is not eligible for College Federal Education Grants (FAFSA and PELL Grant) eventhough we have been paying all the taxes since 8 years. Even I cannot get a Private Loan for him, as we do not have Greencards. So by all means, we are feeling helplessness , because of not having Greencard. I support the idea of ItIsNotFunny. He should not be criticized for taking initiative or just for suggesting. We cannot succeed in getting any Legislation passed, is a different issue But We should always try. Who knows, we may find ourselves successful in one of our attempts.

I get this question every day, what are the hopes for EB3-I, or rather are there any hopes for EB3-I? Are we fighting a lost battle?
What do people here really think?
1. There are X % chance that there would be some immigration bill that would help us and we will have GC in next couple of years?
2. Keep going on with life as is, till the time we can renew EAD every 2 years, and AP every year.
3. Wait for another X years, and then go back.
4. Hopefully my son/daughter will be 21 by 2020, and will sponsor my GC.
--- Hoping family based GC would still be allowed by then
5. Don't know, confused?

Please note that priority would be given to
1) someone from mid-west or south-west. Basically the preference is for someone who is not within the drivable distance.
2) You also need to be registered for the advocacy day.
3) You also have to be willing to participate in the training and the 2 days of advocacy.
4) You need to PM me with your name and phone number and good time to reach. There is not much time to go back and forth on PM or emails.
Please note that number of tickets available for miles redemption would be less so we need to act fast.
